John J. Miller is Interim Director of Choirs and Ensembles.  John has been a music and drama teacher for the past 36 years, 11 years at Locust Grove Mennonite School , 7 years at Rosslyn Academy ( Nairobi , Kenya ), the past 16 years at Lancaster Mennonite High School , one year at Greenwood Mennonite, and one year at Hinkletown Mennonite. He is a graduate of Manhattan School of Music and Eastern Mennonite College . Directly after College he spent 2 years at a children's home in Espelkamp , Germany .  He served on the Worship Commission of Lancaster Mennonite Conference for about 7 years and is also a member of the Susquehanna Chorale.  He and his wife, Helen, are members of Mellinger Mennonite Church .  They are the parents of two adult children, Wendell Epp Miller, whose wife Rachel, is pastor at San Antonio ( Texas ) Mennonite Church and Frances, who lives in Sperryville , Virginia .  Frances is a fiddler, drummer, performer, and teacher--and drives a veggie oil car.
